No matter what type of audio file you load into Trout, it will play it. You see, this is a free audio player for Windows, an audio player that provides support for a very long list of audio files. MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, and many other audio formats are supported.

Trout is available as an installer and as portable version.
Here on FindMySoft you can download the installer. When you run it, a setup wizard shows up and guides you through the installation process. In just a few clicks you will have Trout up and running on your machine.
If you want the portable version, you can get it from Trout’s official website.

Load audio files into Trout and they will be presented as a list on the interface. Above this list there’s a panel that presents the playback controls and info on the track you selected for playback. Way at the top, where it is usually located, there’s a File Menu. So overall, there’s nothing complicated about the interface; you won’t have any problems using it to access the functionality Trout has to offer.

Speaking about functionality, here’s a quick look at Trout’s main features: extensive support for audio files, remove duplicates from the playlist, look up info on Last.fm or Libre.fm, load playlists, add URLs, play an audio CD, edit audio tags, open a file location, remove a track after playback, shuffle files, and more. Seeing that Trout is freeware, you have all the time in the world to uncover all the features it has to offer.

There’s much to like about Trout: it is lightweight, it is free, it supports tons of audio files, it will remove duplicates from the playlist, and lots more.

Pros

Trout is available as an installer and as a portable edition. You will immediately feel at home with the interface. Extensive support for audio files is provided. Trout is freeware (consider making a donation).

Cons

None that I could think of.
